    Pit Vipers

For anyone wondering, I paid $70 for these glasses and if I don't trest them like hell they last a while. My first pair I wore swimming in pools and in the ocean (I have sensitive eyes for sunlight I dunno what my deal is) and didn't whipe the lenses at work often so the tint rubbed off after...

    Pit Vipers

Suck it, nerds Jokes aside, nothing gets behind these bug eye looking Pit Viper Rubbers. Side shields, polarized, and I wear them outside of work because I like the hilarity of the look of them. Definitely not for everyone, no arguments on how they look from me. When I'm dealing with customers...

    dog bone in hitch

I'm gunna dig for @Brocky s set up with the screw link. Been scouring the buzz thru stitch hitches and what not

    dog bone in hitch

Pretty well but needs some fine tuning. And hands who knows how to work with metal, unlike mine. I swapped out the tesr drop for one of my old top arms. I cut it short and put another hole in it, so it's a big more snug for the attachment. I think if there was a way to pull back on it more it...

    dog bone in hitch

Has anyone ever played with creating a dog bone type insert for their hitch? The idea is to go from working one a moving rope system, to choking a stem to repel on a stationary rope, using the same climbing system (a hitch climber / micro pulley and prussic). @Brocky @surveyor @Richard...

    Let's talk redirects

Nailed it 110%. I couldn't have ever put it in to words but this is exactly how I feel. I use a sling, carabiner, and a prussic. I'll use the prussic on the climbing line and sling on the tree and now I can tension everything to load the redirect exactly how I want.

    WTB Entry level saddle

If that doesn't work I have an Eldelrid Treeflex in used condition I'd sell. Still a solid harness with plenty of life. Bought it as a bsck up with a bunch of stuff from a friend who left the biz

Thoughts on DMM's Impact Block XS

I run mine on 16mm Sirius line. I'd trust that block and sling with anything I'd put on a 9/16 rope. Light weight and compact

Thinking about a mechanical acsender upgrade - but not without testing it

Thr zigzag sounds the closest to what you're familiar with and maybe the easiest transition. It is insanely smooth with a friction saver (something simple works fine, like a regular ring and ring set up) and cam self tend with one hand like you mentioned you like about your current device. If...

    Bicep fatigue in rope walking

@Treeaddict the main things to focus on are your length of bridge and how hight your system is when attached to what you use to advance it. I use my lanyard over the should. With an adjustable.bridge and using the lanyard over the shoulder, it's all very adjustable. Having my system sit higher...

New Tribe Onyx Saddle discussion in light of the newest saddle releases

I have the most recent version of the New tribe onyx and it is certainly and updated version. I have what I think is the first Gen one. There was one where the leg straps were independently attached to the back back (Gen 2?), which they did away with after some onyx fan outcries. The most...

Frustrating things people do on a job......

The need to hoot and holler when someone blows out a top or fells a tree or stem. Act like you've done it before, damnit
