Local news story: 1,600 Walnuts Under Hood of Car

Aww that squirrel probably thought it had such a great hiding spot. I’d probably feel obligated to make sure they had enough to eat during the winter. I’m such a sucker for those little cuties.

That city is absolutely charming. A few times we went for dinner and drinks at the Gas Light Company when we passed nearby on the way to or from York Beach. Really great restaurant/ bar/ nightclub in a very cool little city. My roots are sunk a bit deep here but I’d be sorely tempted if I was...

My deepest sympathies if you knew him, I’m so sorry. Suffice to say...

Got that sickening call no one ever wants to get.

I’m so glad this wasn’t worse.

    Today....

If they wrap it in red and white lights during the holidays, it probably looks much better.

    Hard fall? Never give up

Spooked me a bit, what with my least favorite 4 letter F word in the title. This is very sweet, and I’m relieved it wasn’t about a person falling.

Selling *all* business equipment and hardware

Got a little worried you were leaving the tree game and forum. Glad you’ll still be around. Your mini skid w attachments sounds like a nice bit of gear. So tempting, but can’t swing it just yet.

    Blake's Hitch slipping

You can definitely use that rope with a split tail or eye and eye for the hitch. Why’d you add more wraps to the top though? It might work better if you add a wrap to the bottom, but you’ll definitely be better off with a more pliable rope. What diameter is the rope? I might have something...

    Today....

Always a happy moment when the wildlife gets away safely. I’d probably cry on the job if I accidentally hurt a raccoon or opossum.

    Show off them splices

Looks good! What’s the plan for that? Curious how folks use spliced rigging lines.

There’s a pub in town that does a Guinness beef stew, I’ll have to try that myself next time. I did put a cup of Pinot noir in when I started it.

We’re getting into crockpot weather now. Started this beef stew yesterday. I love how even cheap cuts of beef come out so tender when cooked slowly like this. Delicious. I want to try a seafood stew next. Gonna dig around and find a recipe that looks good.

    Big Canopy Campout 2022

That’s awesome, and Kay is adorable lol your pics of her always remind me of my mom. Wesspur sells a 1/2” 12 strand hollow braid called EK-12, that’s really inexpensive. I had an idea to make my own hammock out of it. A whole bunch of brummels ought to do it.

Thinking about a mechanical acsender upgrade - but not without testing it

If you ever are near Buffalo or Niagara Falls, NY, you’re welcome to try a ZigZag and/ or ZigZag Plus with Wrench, or hitch w Wrench, 2 different Akimbos ( Rock Exotica and GoFundMe) OG RopeRunner, and HitchHiker 2. I think that’s everything, plus a pile of foot, knee, chest, and hand ascenders...
