Still, I simply disagree with you. The fact you can't and won't accept that is quite childish. People like you are the issue with the world today. Can't accept any compromise and ego gets in the way.
Regarding full reductions I was referring to other countrys pruning techniques. However, your...
Listen to your exact wording at 0:58 on the middle video. What you say is exactly what Gilman teaches so where is the negativity towards him coming from? The silver maple in the very first video you posted on this thread seems over pruned in my opinion. Overall reductions cause many unnecessary...
Wow, a bit of hate for Gilman is a bit sad. @Daniel Do you do any pruning, or just removals? I can appreciate you getting things done with your removal tactics (some will argue but that's a whole different topic) but until we see some of your pruning I dont think it is fair to try and throw a...
I will also chime in with Ed Gilman. His book "The illustrated guide to pruning" is priceless. My video edits are a .5 out of ten but I have a few on my youtube that might show a thing or two (just ignore the removal vids.). Most of what I do is strictly structural pruning in the same way Gilman...
Curious to see how this turns out with how much help they will need. A good friend of mine just did a two week tour (works full time with local tree company) felling on a fire and they let him in without his yearly pack test.
I would get in touch with the closest forest service in your area and...
What @oldoakman said is spot on. I fought wildfire before getting into this field. Passing a pack test and "fire school" is required for your red card, at least it used to be. 4 day classroom followed by a mock fire. To run a saw on fire line you used to have to test to decide what you are...
None of the picks looked threatening to you personally and you must have been ready for them, but can I ask why you had every limb flip except for two of them? Not knocking you and am genuinely curious about your reasoning. Thanks for sharing!
@Brandon Pankey wasn't this your diagnosis? Maybe they were wrong on your antibodies or couldn't admit it due to the timing of original sickness? Crazy stuff.
Having to do end weight reductions on Scots pine after the previous "tree cutter" decided to lion tail every single limb. That is some slick bark for sure nevermind the fact that some people should just stick to removals since they are incapable of learning how to prune.
When I get called to give a second opinion on a tree that was recommended for removal by another CA because it is infested with something. I ask what kind of tree they say not sure. I show up and find a hackberry with nipple gall. Havent seen one without it and tree is super healthy. Stoked client!
Or when you are working for the city park which is also part dog park and a dog pisses through the fence onto your debris. Perhaps the savages owner watching it happen might be an irritant as well. Thought about peeing on his car door handle but that may have been a little much.
