    crane tailgate safety

I agree with with Hamel. Hand signals are key as well as a quite work area. as for the climber setting the straps, be sure the gate on the crane ball is fully closed! Also, watch the fellow crane guys. Alot of times there are two or three and they come and go like rain, when you really need them...

    Handsaw on leg vs. saddle

Just seeing what other climbers prefer. Please feel free to add your two cents. I personally climb with my saw on my leg, really dislike my handsaw on my saddle.

Cold blast between jacket and pants when climbing

Re: Cold blast between jacket and pants when climb I agree with Seamus and Tophopper. Insulated bibs suck to climb in. Thermals, polys, Aw sweatshirt, and SIP sawpants do the trick for me.

Lessons learned while climbing at 20deg F.

Hit -36 with windchill on Tuesday. Kinda rough climbing a oak in that cold with three to four inches of snow on the limbs. Lots of gloves, proper clothes, hardy soul, and positive mind gets you though the day!

    Tree Austria 3

It's awsome. I have been climbing in it for awhile now and have only one complaint. Thats the stitching on the bridge. Other than that it is an awsome saddle. Highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a new saddle!
