Hello,
I am considering building a stand alone grapple that works on any crane (lithium battery powered and wireless remote).
I basically have the design of the grapple worked out. Now I am just thinking about clever storage ideas on the truck.
What do you guys do to store your grapples...
I have used the forestry pro for years, I love it. I can usually get a reading regardless of weather, unless there are a lot of other trees in the way, then you have to aim perfect. I have one in my crane and also in my truck that I do estimates in.... I can't imagine bidding a job without it...
Just wanna give a rant and shoutout to Marell Corporation in rockford Michigan. I had them install my hook lift about a year ago. They have hundreds of different models in stock. I called and within a month had a shiny new hook lift installed on my truck. They do very good work and the price was...
I wish that were the case..... One of the major factors that got me into owning my own crane was because on a job the crane op didn't hoist the piece high enough and hit the roof when swinging over. He claimed it was a lack of communication from us (this was before senas existed or were...
Not sure if the school you are mentioning is the Crane institute of America in Florida. I went there about six years ago. It was a week course and I got certified on stick cranes only. The class covered stick and lattice booms. I wanted nothing to do with lattice but had to do the course and...
I was gonna list it cheaper, my buddies convinced me to go high due to current market. All offers will be considered. I've also bought a ton of used equipment in my life, including 3 cranes. I usually spend at least a few weeks or months and thousands of dollars working through every detail to...
Wow, thanks for taking the time to comment on my post to complain about the price without even taking the time to read the ad... or the title of the post..... Good luck in your search for a cheap crane, I am sure with your level of attention to detail cranework is going to be a wonderful...
Edit.... Because I don't really feel like I owe you a polite explanation.
Go ahead and buy one of those cheap k boom hook lifts out there, I know there are probably plenty, though I've not checked in a while. Keep your price bashing to yourself.
If anyone else is actually interested and wants...
Hey guys,
I'm testing the waters here. I've gotten out of tree work(for real this time), I do mostly construction now and this truck really just isn't the right fit for me. It's an awesome truck and perfect for tree work.

Hey guys,
It has been a while since I posted on the forum.... even forgot my old user name.
Anyways, I just got a new knuckle boom. It is an IMT with about 65' of reach. I am very happy with the crane for my purposes but I want a remote.
I talked to IMT and it's quite an expensive retrofit to...
