And i spoke too soon. Chipper was working fine today. Had a chip session. Went to start back up and there's a metal clanking sound in the engine at idle . Also sounds like a misfire going on.
Oil level and pressure good.
Can't catch a break
Thanks for the replies everybody. Turns out i jumped the gun by assuming it was a rear main seal. The line to the oil pressure gauge snapped at the fitting at the back of the gauge and dumped the oil. Super easy to fix though and we're back up and running
For the engine only right now. But I've been told this engine, when used in industrial applications, used some upgraded specialty parts, so I'm worried putting the standard seal kit in wouldn't suffice
I have a 97 200Xp that i believe just blew the rear main seal. It has the Ford in line 6 gas engine in it.
Luckily it happened at idle and we caught it quickly. Still a little oil at bottom of dipstick.
Trying to find parts and having a little trouble. Isn't there a 'used' dealer onsite here i...
One thing to check for is safety shut-offs. For example, the big pin that holds the disc or drum hood closed. On my Bandit, it has to make contact with a safety switch or the machine won't run. It once caused a scenario identical to yours.
Just a thought. Good luck
Appreciate the responses.
Looks like Simonds and Bandit blades are available on Amazon for the same price with free shipping. As long as they're legit that should be good. Amazon is the king of counterfeits though.
Chipper bolts and nuts 12 of each...Bandit wants over $100 before shipping...
Where are you guys buying chipper blades, nuts/bolts, and anvils these days. Bandit is forcing us to go through a local Bobcat Dealer and shipping is ridiculous.
I just bought another Stihl head for the thing. Seemed to be cheaper anyways.
So much easier to have stuff delivered to my front door though. Thanks for getting me addicted... and turning me into a hermit, Amazon
I'm sure some of y'all have used this Stihl polesaw before...

Best I can tell it's the old ARS polesaw rebranded with a Stihl logo.
I'm in the market for a new blade for it and my question is....
Have any of you...
