Ive got lots of birch at the hunting shack in various states of decline. Ive heard as high as 100:1 for birch syrup and has to be cooked at a simmer vs a rolling boil. I think ill just buy it
Boxelder is often reported to have butterscotch tones for flavor. I dont know general ratios for boxelder. Lots of reports of high sugar content (4%) with our odd spring in the TC metro. Trees are flowered and still producing "clean" sap. Its a weird year for syrup
Many of the older guys are broken and barely making it to retirement without physical issues but the retirement/healthcare is kind of rigged to keep you working. It has me rethinking it as a career path.
100k up here was more than enough until 5 years ago. Fact of the matter is no trade is...
Ive been out a few years but top out around 35-40 pr hr as an employee but you gotta have cdl, isa, applicators etc to command that. Its sad because i distinctly remember a foreman saying he made that much when i started at a big company around here in 2009ish
Electrician, plumber, hvac, fire union apprx $60 pr hr plus bennies here in mn. Even low volt, carpenter, laborer apprx $45 pr hr. Outside of commercial construction the 100k mark certainly seems less attainable for any trade
You can. A guy used to have one off an atv trailer, so maybe 8-10ft boom? Mounted to back of a flatbed trailer. I remember looking into it a handful of years back but was too expensive for my needs
