This one works on my Tendril and Tachyon SRT/DRT, and also since the interior space is 5/8" wide it will allow a doubled up 8mm rope ala Wooden Hand (SRT/DRT). The top arm has an elongated bollard at the black shoulder bolt, and a round bollard on the bottom arm. The SS shoulder bolts are 5/16" dia. (same as the Bone) The arms are aluminum, same thickness as the BoneIMG_4513 (1).JPG

I would, I need to defray development costs. I need to order the elongated bollard which would be specific to this device, so if there is enough interest I would proceed.

No, it is actually a part I had intended to use as the spine on a BOLA, but that did not work as I hoped.

I do still build the BOLA with or without the swivel which is optional. The latest change is having an elongated bollard on the top arm of the BOLA also. William has one .
Yes I do have one and actually GORDON has been so gracious with me and provided me with the original 2.0 bola which wasn’t really grabbing except for a couple of Ropes so he updated it and gave me the 3.0 which I liked but it was hard, tending slack and then I shipped it back and got the 2.0 with the elongated bollard and that’s pretty much the bees knees however the slack tending is still not quite right, so I’ve been using the OAR again. it’s a little more bulky on a lanyard but the performance I feel better and you can use it for MRS or you could take your long lanyard Choke it off and use a second SRS system so I know GORDON will come up with something in between the bola in the OR with smooth slack tending. I know is a challenge, but we’ll get there. Surveyor for the win.

I mean, I am asking a lot out of one device to be compact to use as a lanyard adjuster also moving rope system and occasionally single Rope system and that’s challenging. I don’t think anyone’s really come up with that yet, but I do know that GORDON’s has been putting a lot of time and effort into this and I think he’s on the right track

Awesome guys, thanks for the quick and informative replies. Tried lots of different lanyard combos, favorite right now is a Zillon on Tri-Tech. Super smooth, compact and is rated for life support on SRS. The problem is it tends to bind heavily that way, doubled around a spar or over a union it’s sweet, but singled out it tends to lock. Like loading a traditional English prussik. You can break it, but takes a fair amount of effort. Tried several ropes, basically all the same result. The manuals says to two-hand control feed in that configuration, and that helps, but not really productive, takes too long to free up that second hand 100 times a day. Looks like this is a vast improvement on those shortcomings, as well as additional features like MRS.

I would agree, it’s nearly impossible to find one device that’s works well in every situation, but it looks like @surveyor is indeed on track to create that elusive unicorn.
