Rope Wrench Tether on Sewn Eye?

What's up guys, just curious on your thoughts. I like exploring creative options and was playing with this minimalist configuration to have in the back pocket. Basically just clipping the wrench tether directly to a sewn eye loop to quickly switch to SRS without hitch climber. Slightly asymmetrical but seems to work pretty well. Any obvious concerns? I know the stitches aren't designed to be loaded this way but forces seem pretty minimal.

I don't think the upside-down loading from the wrench tether on the sewn eyes will be a problem for the stitching. I imagine you had to jam those carabiners pretty hard into those tight eyes to fit. The prying force against the stitching is potentially more problematic over the service life of the hitch cord. Though I doubt it would give.

I'm not thrilled about snaps for tending. The Shizll rope slider would be nice and clean here but you'd lose mid-line attachment flexibility and would have to get creative about a removable attachment for the wrench tether. I've gone away from worrying about midline attachment as a necessary system feature.

Then there is the intangible "aesthetics" of a climbing system, it shouldn't matter but when things look bulky/fugly I'm not happy. When I'm climbing I like seeing clean and simple life support attachments. Easier to quickly assess ongoing.

Good thinking for sure, maybe a few more versions to smooth it out unless you're absolutely happy with it.

Thanks Moss, really not that hard to get the carabiners in the eye but can't get it through both eyes with a snap in there.
This would just be an easy/light/compact/versatile secondary system in a pinch. I like the midline attachability of the snaps, I ran a shizll on lanyard for a bit but just sits in a box now.
Honestly, this tends to line up better than it does on a hitchclimber with the Caralink tether. The main downside to the carabiner connection on the tether is it has a lot of play in HC and can get side loaded when tending... Clipping to a sewn eye helps with that but not ideal. I'll play around with the idea some more, thanks again!

Aha, yeah I have my own way to attach a tether to a HC pulley, no extra play or sideloading, you've probably seen it posted here often. Your scheme has provoked some ideas for a "no HC" or any pulley simple wrench tether setup with midline attachability and excellent slack tending, will be working on it. Thanks.

The hitch can be made to multitask, no tending pulleys, or other device needed, and eliminates the cost for spliced, or sewn eyes. The concept works with many friction hitches. An overhand stopper is shown, use what you consider a safe option.

That's true, thanks Brocky I might revisit this. Just don't have any bulk hitch cord at the moment.

Update, ran surprisingly smooth in srs/Mrs. Would be nice if the stitched eye loops were just a wee bit larger though. You have to attach everything in a specific order for relative ease. I was particularly pleased with the xsre to tend slack, easy, light, compact solution.
