I'll start with a specific ask:

Anyone have a construction plans detail for a trunk and buttress root protection structure?

Are you thinking custom or pre existing protection structure? Permanent or temp? There’s some great stuff out out by municipalities. NYC Parks has some good ones I’ll try to dig up but it’s in one of their “arborist reports”. I’ve used them for reports ive written involving city owned trees.

This publication explains tree health and environmental considerations and details how to preserve trees.

PSU uses min 8’ high metal chainlink. Surface anchored, installed by a separate contractor from the construction company, with very specific time lines for removal and installation and inspection. They also have well defined and steep penalties for violation of protection zones with enforcement In the sub contractor contracts.

On campus they have had very good success.

I'm looking for an editable .pdf version of the detail in the ANSI A300 Managing trees duringvconstruction BMP.

Great place to start with details. The specs are a little difficult to shoehorn into existing ones, but match up to the details well.
