I used to be big on DMM, but I've found Petzl has upped their game recently in terms of quality and affordability so I have switched most of my biners and pulleys over.Nice setup.Matt. A basic and balanced load. At times, I wish I bought the Roll clip instead of DMMs Revolver, Although I genuinely like their stuff, the Rev is a bit harder to open and a lil less self explainable to orientation. Only to the groundies though. I use it most for sending for hauling my saw down and haul up off climbing line and tending pulley. It is almost always sent back upside down after they struggle with it.
Although it is lightweight, that Roll Clip is tempting.
I have had the Shem hook not long after introduction. How do you like the large version?
Is that an Onyx? I like it.
I will share my MB1 when I get it back. I left it in my friends's truck Thurs. Work for Fri got messed up, and he's going away for a week. I have climbing to do with most of this week for another guy. I'll be restringing my MCRS and gearing it up. Luckily, I have enough gear.
The smaller one will not take a full handle. I just use a heavier lanyard with ring. My 1st harness was an old school with lower Ds. I used a steel ladder hook for saw carrying. It easily grabbed any handle. That was before @islandarb talked me into using lanyards.Never tried the smaller Shem so can't really comment on comparison. I love the big one for being able to hang larger saws by their handles. Not sure if the smaller one would accommodate.
I have a set of CMI 3 hole rigging plates I'm thinking about switching up to. They're new and have been laying around. I have 2 transporters on it now and thinking of adding a second or a DMM vault on the non saw side. I may add a micro vault to the saw side too. Obviously I'll have to custom mount the DMMs but I like them as well.@96coal449 Doing anything custom with the MCRS or just the usual rings and knots?

I love minimalistic myself. I really do, and your saddle reeks of it. NICE!View attachment 84342
Never really understood the concept of hanging or carrying anything on your harness that you won’t use.
I’m fairly confident I will know what I want before I start climbing, if I change my mind I’ll get something sent up.
At most I’ll stash a spare krab round the back to put on the end of my climbing line for light lowering.
Scrap piece of KMIII right now. I swap it every 6 months with a piece of whatever I have laying around at the time.

You take the necessities off your saddle when you’re done? I pick out the stuff I’ll need like slings and hardware, but I keep the positioning lanyard, saw lanyard, and handsaw on always. Like yours, I always keep the tourniquet, loop runner with biner, and spare eye and eye with biner too.View attachment 84344
MB 2.0. XL Shembiner hangs my saw > Red wire gate carries handsaw > Singing Rock porter is a light duty breakaway attachment for ropes if needed (an idea I got from @the.schultz.effect ) > tourniquet on the snap > e2e and biner for redirects > HD loop runner and biner for light rigging tasks > extra biner > Camp Kilo carries a quickie so I don't otherwise forget it (I use it for canopy anchors.) Other gear gets added on an as needed basis, but this is what rides on my saddle day to day.
Please elaborate.... I was under the impression the MB 2.0 was different mostly in modularity. Great for lefties for sure, or some one who just wants to move the storage Ds around.I flew the original MB for a while and I definitely think this one is a step up

Adjustable lumbar support is a nice touch but I'm really liking the quick adjust bosun strap. Thought initially I would hate it but it adjusts so easy on the fly. Leave it loose if I need the mobility, cinch it up if I'll be hanging for a while.
Wait… isn’t everyone else doing that too?My high ass thought Noodles was using a piece of chain for his fire extinguisher lanyard.
Only with ANSI approved padlocks tho…Wait… isn’t everyone else doing that too?
Could you put an arrow on this picture to show me the bosun seat? I hadn’t heard of this and am very interestedView attachment 84344
