New Bandit chipper pricing,,???

Hello .
I am looking at here in Denver co. A new Bandit chipper either a Bandit 15x for $90000.00
Or the Bandit 18x for $105000.00 I was told these are the factory pricing and that there are going to be more price increases in the near future?? Is this correct?? Who has bought a new one and whst did you pay. He said that there are unit coming in towards end of year and to put down a $500 deposit to hold it and that that would lock in price.

I understand everything is going up in the world but this seems extremely high markup or maybe not I don't know.

Please share your experiences here recently on buying a new chipper. I am old school and it has been awhile since I purchased a new one so I was shocked.
Have a good day everyone.
If you have had better luck in your state I can have it shipped here.

Unfortunately, those prices are probably about right these days. We acquired a new Morbark about a year ago for $56,000, I saw the same chipper advertised the other week for $76,000, exact same machine, same options.

It’s pretty nuts my 12xpc with a ford gasser cost about 46k
If I recall the 15xpc has the ability for a winch which they won’t put on any other smaller xpc machine..
a 12xp was about another 20k with a bigger engine and winch, but 3k lbs heavier

I have a 12XP on order right now, 145hp gas, winch, a few other odds and ends. $62k before tax. The price also went up like $1,500 between first talking with them and locking it down, and it's a three month backlog. They tell me it will go into production early July, time will tell.

I just got off the phone with my dealer. They don't have any more green paint (which is what I ordered) and have no idea when they will have it again, so were asking if I could do either black or yellow. I chose yellow, because otherwise no saying when I'd ever get the chipper.

He also told me they are out of microchips for some control module and that might knock other orders back until 2023, so I might be just squeaking in and getting one of the last such machines for the YEAR.

Evo.
So man are you satisfied with the 12xp? I have the bc1000 and it won't break the crotch so then you just leave the ms 201t running while chipper is running. I mean don't get me wrong the bc1000 is decent but need a little more hp and be able to handle crotch. I don't need it to suck the whole tree in at one time but man those clothes slow us way down.

A 12XP will out pull a BC1000 any day. It’s still only a 12” chipper, but with two feed rollers instead of one, it will eat much better.

I got a 15xp march of last year for 63k in Maine. Winch, hyd rotate, 6.2 ford gas, alcoa rims, larger fuel tank. 90k is fucking crazy! Iirc the diesel option was 12k more. Morbark 15” was same price with winch and same engine.

We ordered a new Kabota mini-excavator last fall. Took delivery in March. We could’ve turned around and sold it for $15,000 more if we wanted. We also locked in our order for a new Merlo in April, the very next week the price went up $6,000…

Reach.
Wow that is a huge increase which model did you get. I like morbark also my brother ownes one and swears by it. I am not opposed to morbark I am just wanting a new one this summer. Not next summer or this winter. But if I have to wait I will. I appreciate you sharing this tells me the price increase is across the board.

That is insane. What kept you from selling . That fact there were no more to get or you would javelin to wait again

Are you really saying no paint? Is it something special. I mean covid really did a number on just about everything.
Thank yiu for sharing. Which chipper did you order.

There have been paint shortages for residential home paints as well, my buddy has a painting business and he's got his wife driving all over a couple hundred square miles or he's doing it if he has time to find it in-stock.

I ordered mine in green… salesman’s reply to my yellow chipper was ‘they just give us whatever do you want it or not’
I smelled a big ole pile of BS..

I ordered a welded infeed because it was supposed to be 10” closer to the feed wheels. I confirmed this many times…. What I got was a normal feed table, with the hinges welded and a few 2” welds along the seems. The point of a welded short feed tray was for machine feeding.

The rear jack stands that I paid for, we’re absent (still have to take the machine in to get them to put them on).

There’s a couple a really bad design flaws…. The made a cut out ontop of the engine to access the oil fill. A couple of thumb bolts right UNDER the air filter! So to add engine oil I need a bendy funnel with a 18-20” pipe OR take the air filter housing off..

Oh and the machine didn’t come with a engine manual…. I place blame with the dealer, not with bandit (other than the oil thing)…
