My New Year Resolution is..

New ones? How’d you do with the old ones?
I think I hit my sena button unintentionally once in 2021. The glued on flange is the thing.

As of dec 16 I’m in diaperland :) our first. These things just disappear, it’s insane- getting cloth diapers next week and looking forward to not filling up the landfill as much.

To that point, the real New Years resolution for me is to be a good parent and to be more patient and flexible.

That’s what we did and it was just fine. We did use the Honest brand overnight disposables, which are bumper sticker worthy good. Man have I gotten lame…
Also on the cloth diapers here-the real savings kick in with the following babies- got to have 3-6 to really get your money’s worth

I don't do resolutions...but, this is one that I try to follow

There’s a cloth diaper service that will deliver the clean diapers and take the dirty ones weekly. $75/mo. Seems like a good deal, especially since we are still doing laundry at our neighbors!
My sister is into cloth diapers, has used them on both of her kids. She found that courtesy of some of the local neighborhood Facebook pages, she was able to largely buy them used. She saved a ton of money that way. She does wash them herself, but I’m sure a diaper service would still be much more cost-effective than buying disposables by the semi trailer.

Well, where do I start? My daughter is a princess, so she is pretty much potty training herself. My boys don't seem to mind sitting in their own poo.

We do use some reusable diapers, but not for night time. Also we use a bidet that attaches to the toilet tank to spray out the cloth diapers. I highly recommend it.

We took a trip out West this summer to visit family. One week of visiting my wife's aunt filled up three 13 gallon trash bags.

I have one suggestion for all you that are potty training your kids. There is a book called "Oh Crap: Potty Training" that is worth it's weight in gold. You don't need to read the whole book, and as a rule I didn't read any other books before my son was born because I think common sense and good values is really most of what you need, but this book is great for potty training. My wife made me read a couple chapters and I'm glad I did.

There’s more shit-talking here than a political thread
