New HD TNA Grapple

I like how the tree pusher is lower profile than the bmg with power rotation. I feel like the bmg tree pusher hits more things by accident then it does on purpose. I do love my bmg power rotatating grapple though 1000 hrs and only a few minor setbacks. Does TNA make a power version?

I believe so not sure about the HD version but I would assume

Here’s a picture of how the lines run through the frame a I put a bungee to keep the lines from being pinched between the adapter plate and lift arms

TNA (my son) did a good Job copying the Original BMG,

Thought about hose routing, many times over the 20 years I have been producing the BMG
technically most hose damage does not occur in the TNA's routing
Generally it happens down at the hitch plate, pinching hoses when tilting the grapple back
second highest wear area is out front, where the hoses route down to the cylinder in the body of the grapple
neither the BMG, TNA or other "mini" brands protect the hoses in this area

Working on a new hanger design with hoses in closed in the same area as the TNA
PLUS the hose will go through the swivel joint and Knuckle directly into the body
no one is currently totaling enclosing and protecting all the hoses out front

Think about it though, if your a fan of the KISS factor, the original BMG hoses last a very long time, are cheap ($39), and fast & easy to replace

On our powered Rotating models we have developed the best hose guard in the industry
it will soon be on all our power rotators
Come check it out at TCI booth in Indy

All in All The TNA is probably the best Imitator of my BMG so far, Heavier but solid all around
In the last couple years, MFGs have recognized the superiority of this style of attachment for Arborists.
Numerous brands have followed(copying) BMG's Bollard hanger design- I have even seen the design in Europe
So flattered, NOT :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Don't count us out BMG has other features no one else has
- like the included receiver hitch, and optional original rake & clamshells

best to ya all, and thanks for your support and input

Bmg for life. I don't know about TNA customer support but BMG is by Far in a league of its own. Anything that goes wrong they make right and most likely won't cost you! At least from my experience. Buy once, cry once! Love the clamshells and the integrated hitch. Use both everyday.

Thanks, Dave

Powered rotation units both MG & HDMG should be in production now. But unfortunately due to component supply chain issues, we anticipate mid January unless parts show up sooner .

I have very few issues with the tna 1 year in.
I did cut the pusher to a lower profile, it was damaging the grapple.
The only other thing is likely universal, the grapple bangs into itself while travelling empty if the operator does not orient the grapple in a specific manner.

Thank You and good to hear you are liking our grapple.

We actually are releasing our generation 2 grapple in 6 weeks and have made the pusher removable and narrower. Along with a few other minor updates and reinforcements.

Here is a sneak peak at Generation 2 hanger

Why no spikes right in the middle of the pusher? I have the old BMG, and the spikes are important, IMO.
I guess if it’s a small tree it’ll orientate itself into the gap and stay there under pressure, which seems like a good thing.
If it’s a bigger tree the spikes will hold it anyway.

It was requested by a few customers to make the pusher removable and have a narrower profile for everyday use with chippers. The pusher will now bolt on when needed or can remain on if the user wants, I visited with a few customers and the general consensus was the front 2 spikes were all that was necessary for smaller jobs and daily use but they still wanted a pusher for when needed.

It bites fine enough with just the 2 spikes for pushing.
Imo, it doesn't seem realistic to bother with the time getting the 'whale tail' and wrenches out and bolting it on site. If it's that big of a tree that the 2 spikes are not adequate, maybe setting a line and/or pounding wedges may be more practical. (Pulling it over is easy, grapple has bollard)
Just to reiterate, overall I am quite pleased with the TNA grapple.
Even shipped to Canada.
