Hey Rico, thanks for the link to your videos, some good stuff there!

Quick question. In your second video, on demonstrating your flip line technique, You're using a 3 strand flip line. I like to do the same myself. Did you spice it yourself and what size is it and what are you using for a lanyard adjuster?

Thanks again.
5/8" Samson Pro-Master 3 strand. Adjuster is the larger 5/8" Rock Exotica rope grab. And yes I splice my own flip-lines..Cheap as dirt. Great hand. Rolls up a tree really well...

Next up is another vid which was referenced here. This one is very pertinent to the discussion at hand-

Jake and the boys use their crane as a remote rigging point, and treat us to some shitty subpar cuts...Nuff said..
Just gonna drop this here.. I’m sure the state and their insurance company would have something to say…

You should report Rico too, for not wearing a helmet :)

Sorry, but could you please explain what i am looking at and what it all means...

This is the contact information for their state workman’s comp manager as well as their liability insurance provider and policy number.
all easily found by looking up the business name of any state licensed business

Appearantly the crane op, who was wearing a helmet at the time, was knocked completely unconscious. The climber reportedly had to unclipped, bail from the tree, and launch himself down a steep ravine. Thanks to some serious athleticism and some fancy footwork he came out unscathed. Hallelujah!

All things considered, I would say that everyone involved, including the occupants of the home, should be counting their blessings.

Oh Boy
You’re Special aren’t you
What’s special is guys in here acting like they’re special and never do any wrong while pointing fingers at everyone else I’m pretty sure the last commenter Steve and Rico are both injured from mistakes they made, so that’s pretty telling in its self, isn’t it. I come here to learn and connect not to read about some bullshit of who’s the more perfect person, also Reach claimed he would pick up a log to heavy with a crane and just sit it back down and then completely edited his entire comment. There’s a lot of pretenders in here apparently

I edited my comment to clear any misunderstandings, because we will not pick intentionally pick up a piece that is too heavy. That is simply a bad idea.

My apologies for my error in explanation, the next time perhaps I will simply keep my thoughts to myself.

And on a side note, I am far from perfect. I have made my share of mistakes, and continue to do so. I’ve never broken a building with a falling tree or had a major injury, but I’ve broken fence rails, punched a driveway, and had a couple close calls with falling limbs that could have been avoided. I try to learn from those so I do not repeat them, and I try my best to own my mistakes (not always perfect there either) and to use them as teaching moments for the crew here in hopes of saving someone else from the same experiences.

Again you’re ridiculous Sir
If you don’t like the members on Tree Buzz go to another site if not I have to think are a Troll or a immature kid
The three members you have mentioned above are very well respected members with tons of experience
You the other day said you feared for your life everyday at work?
Again give me a break!
But maybe I should give you a break

Then act like it. And it will not be needed.

Give you a break? You’re a liar, as noted by others in that thread that’s not at all what I said. And if they’re very well respected members with tons of experience and still getting hurt that proves my point doesn’t it. Makes me think you got your feelings hurt trying to talk a big game you can’t back up. You can be born into being handed a family business but that doesn’t make you a tree guy does it.
