I'm concerned about this knot:
Yes. I may be wrong, but I take it the middle wraps are the ones extending down to the carabiner below the ascender. In any case, I understand in principle that a prusik is being used to backup the ascender, and I would use my general knot knowledge to tie an appropriate hitch.

I think you are right. It is a regular prusik

Anyone notice how the Petzl climber is only ascending SRT and then will switch to DdRT after he ascends?

Didn't think the lower hole on the handled ascender was made for this?

this might be picking shit apart too much, but for shits and giggles...
the tail of climb line is also dawged off on the lower leg loop. Perhaps this is just to offer an escape route, and if you are (selling gear) and going to switch over to a ddrt system why not clip it into an ascender? It's obviously not in a primary support configuration. I see a croll, hand ascender tethered and backed up with a prussic... The way I was taught was toothed ascenders are fine for ascent but it needs to be backed up, this can be another ascender, prussic or what ever, you can also see the Ddrt system is piggybacked to the back up prussic. I don't take this as a green light to work the tree off of a backed up toothed ascender, but I do think it's super smart as a bailout option if someone was still using a frogwalker.
