Video has long been a major influence in tree-care. I know that for me coming up in the industry it was one of the best ways to learn, network and celebrate all the cool stuff in the industry.

Take a moment to recognize your favorite creators by nominating their videos for the first-ever Arborist Choice Video Awards. After a voting period, the winners will receive custom awards and be featured on a live awards show hosted by TreeStuff.

Reg and August (Monkey beaver)

@bonner1040 - Maybe just a dumb tree guy - but make the voting easier than just sending in a video with a web address. Y'all at Treestuff should be able to pick from some top guys and go from there?? ONLY ONLY (yes twice) because I liked comments from him will I say this - NO daniel videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Mark Chisholm - post more vids and you might(?) clean up!

This is the nomination phase. Voting will be a click to pick kinda thing. Its all explained in the post above, or in more detail at the links.

10-4 Only read the email and hadn't gone much further. short attention (ohh shiny penny!) span!

Thanks for the distraction from this entire clusterf@@@ we have found ourselves in. I will watch more videos of treework (Come on now now... :) and let the voting begin!

Reg for sure. Straight up and no drama videos
Agreed... Fuck the live chats, the marketing and self promotion, the silly video productions, and the never ending narrations and bulllshit...If world-class tree work is what we seek, Reg gets my vote...

Dave Coleman doesn't seem to be making vids these days, but he is one of my personal favorites. Love the way this guys works....

Blaire Glenn’s stuff is still by far my favorite.

14:00-16:15.. Notice the severely bypassed undercut. Notice the insanely overshot backcut that resulted in him completely missing his undercut..... We won't talk about the free falling undercut that bounced off the roof. or the saw snatch that was a direct result of his horrid cutting...Fucking amateur hour...

16:45-23:45.. Poor sawmanship, more bypass, a missed lay, and valuable redwood logs blown up as a result. 2nd or 3rd tier climbing and cutting at best. Surely we can do better?

Perhaps an Intentional Barberchair video? With all the views it gets, surely it must be a good video, right?

Missed the dirt pile too. Happens. I do like how he is milling the log onsite and all. Not sure how well he is doing since I don't do that myself but it is a cool thing.

Yeah but he has the best hair in the arb industry which definitely should be a factor in the teen choice awards.

Sorry Rico, but yur buddy Dave Coleman's vid had way too much roof limb splatter from slamming the trunk.

He had plenty of height n open ground to speedline those laterals.

Brave lad tho!

Jeez yeah one video you guys found where he was very transparent about mistakes made; like much of his videos he doesn't hide the few mistakes made to use them as learning experiences for our industry.

not sure if there’s more to this here that I’m missing than this one video where everything didn’t go perfect. I’ve found a lot of value in his videos as there is narration and description of why things happened, how/why jobs were done and why/how mistakes happened. As much as I like to watch the day in the life videos most everyone else puts out, they often don’t have a ton of substance.
