DMM Offya

Has anyone got to try one out, I’m really interested in getting one. I’m trying to find when they are supposed to b out but no luck yet. Some YouTube videos of them look really handy to have around! Let me know and info on them or any rigging tips with them!

So it’s basically a haul back zip line system. I’ve done it before with a cmi pulley on a rigging plate 2 lines and a porti good to go

I like the configuration used the video (illustrated in the image below without the addition of the block on the red load line), but it seems to me that the same can be as easily achieved, and probably less expensively, with a couple of small blocks/pulleys attached below a rigging plate underneath a trolley pulley (or underneath this).

The photo below is from CMI. You could replace those orange slings with a couple of pinto rig pulleys to re-create the illustrated Offya configuration.

I’m looking at my tiny phone screen but that doesn’t look like a typical grcs in the video. Anyone know what it is? Or am I just seeing things

Now that is a good idea! I really like that. Thanks @Jehinten
Close, but in fact the device is one of only five in the world, similar to smart winch which is a great lightweight rigging device only this one is much stronger and more heavy duty, a more powerful winch (54:1 power ratio) and added features like able to cut it into tree for dynamic loads, twin 10 ton ratchet straps to hold it, modular so two or more can be linked side by side plus a few other useful features :)

This is just a english reeve system. Many ways of doing it. I've used it a few times to yard material up high angle slopes. When you need it, its the perfect trick to pull out of the bag, but its intensive for groundies, and rigging. Also need a metric fuck tonne of rope.
