@RopeShield product aside I think your attitude displayed here is also a factor in getting your device pulled. You're come off as an arrogant prick...nobody wants to deal with that.
What are you imagining, creating and presenting to the community.
Don't you dare pretend to know me.
Deal with this.
  1. Solutions to insects in trees
  2. Solutions to uncomfortable and dangerous harness Sherrilltree Btw makes a harness against industry safety standards
  3. Solutions for decay observations in trees
  4. Solutions for mitigating hazard potential in trees and life of tree workers
  5. Solutions in reducing impact loads
Dozen more I can share with the community, someone can profit but at the expense of another

You want to bring up something else? Fine take it to the appropriate thread and we can discuss

Dude, ropeshield, I respect you man, but this is a hilarious statement being that for quite some time you were pushing that rope knight with billboard like posts in any thread there was a remote reference to throw weights.

You guys are getting close to taking personal shots, which is crazy coming from @bonner and @RopeShield who represent something other than a random arborists on a forum. Good luck with that.

Wow people need to stop and think before they type something into the minds of every arborist on this forum! Seriously, this is getting out of hand.

Rich. The man. The legend.

The animal.
Sorry about the blur...
@treebilly

I think that's the only photo anyone got - just a quick blur! We should have taken a group photo in the top secret lab holding Nick's prototype drone outfitted with trimming lasers. Our jobs are doomed - soon to be outsourced to anyone who can operate a joystick

Look, this IS getting ridiculous. I'm not here to be pro or anti anything. I'm no spokesperson for anyone or anything. In saying that, this trip has afforded me an appreciation and new understanding that I didn't have two weeks ago for the trials and tribulations a supply company goes through to get us the tools we require. Be that Sherrill, Bartlett, treestuff, wesspur or whomever. It's daunting. Crazy crazy shit. No one is out to skin us.. no matter how much it might seem like that to us at the time.
On that note.. I think the rope knight is stupid. REAL fucking stupid, a purchase I wouldn't make with a gun to my head. Lead? Gimme a break. I've probably come closer to cancer by typing this message on my phone.
But hey, that's just me. That doesn't mean it's not the cats ass for the next guy down the line. And I guess that's our right as consumers, isn't it? To have the option to do, or not do, whatever we please. For the most part.
It seems like this has just turned into shameless self promoting (again) and hurling insults around. F all that noise, jack. I took away a better understanding of a business I never had, and was told that things will run a certain way. I have no reason to disbelieve that, so I suppose time will tell. If that turns out to be untrue, well hell.. we can all speak our minds with our dollar, can we not?

What I walked away thinking and understanding is: unless you are ready to lose a lot of cash [emoji383] on a hope and prayer your device is the [emoji219] knees, you'd better get a patent, lawyer, a big manufacturing partner/team, and be ready for your widget to fail.

It's a shame it was so far away(100miles) as I would have enjoyed the GTG(marketing). I've always wanted to know the inside scoop on how tree care equipment suppliers function(sarcasm).

Anything to the rumor that Sherrill has recently acquired TreeBuzz.com?(sure looks like it)

Maybe there'll be some deals on the RW to go with the kit!

I've held many companies to account for poor service and defective or poor quality products. I've been on the receiving end so I know how it feels to have a customer take me or the company to task on an issue. The best response is to solve the problem, address it head on. Give the customer the benefit of the doubt. Sure there are some that will take advantage but most are genuine. When the company treats customers as suspect then it tends to hurt the company. This was the case with ST. Tripp acknowledged this and is making the effort to address their past shortcomings.

It was evident from the candid discussions with all of us that they are looking at all facets of their business model and looking for ways to improve how each aspect functions while still running a profitable venture. I'm satisfied with this for the time being. Will they realize their goals? Will we be better served by them? These are the questions that time will answer and then, I for one, will vote with my dollars. Does this mean I'll only shop ST or TS? Nope. However I will give them the opportunity to win my business just as I have with any other supplier.

As for the side bar on the Rope Knight or Armour or Shield, I found it exceedingly pricey, to the point where I would need to have some experience with it before I could do the benefit analysis. That in itself became a barrier to the market. I've yet to come across anyone who is using it so I may try it out but, I'm not going to be the first on the block to have one.
