Re: \"Bump\" for Graeme McMahon
Hi Mark and all
It's been a long time since we've had a chat and I am very sorry that so much time passed without giving you a "BUZZ". It's nice to see that I haven't been forgotten since coming over, the kind comments on Buzz and some e-mails I've had are encouraging to me and I will make an effort to keep contact with all.
Unfortunately it's been so long that I had forgotten my password. Combined with my poor computer skills it took me almost an hour to log in. Unless I get my son to help me simple tasks are so frustrating. I've been looking at your bump to me for days now on my "inbox" and didn't know what it was all about. In a moment of recklessness I put the "little hand" on stuff I couldn't read and another box came up explaining what a bump is.
Sorry to any one who is still waiting for replies.
That large contract is finnished Mark and I have some great footage. 75 trees removed, most over 200' tall. Regrwth E. regnans bush with some mature trees between. 40 extracted with "high lead", braced spar, manual "haul back". Slope was too steep for the machines (45 deg in some places), most large sections needing butt cables to stop them taking off. 5 trees needed to be boarded, i mature tree needed an inch and eigth diam wire rope attatched at 80', to be winched with the D7G. Bla Bla
I've withdrawn from all blasting work for the logging companies here this year and hope to be at home much more. Who knows I might even get inspired to master this compter. To all the people I have promised DVD's to they are coming.
regars to all
Graeme
