What would the clutch cost? It's not a drum, but I've got an 01 200xp 12"cap. Needs paint and possible clutch. $7500
I have a '97 version of this same chipper. I love it. And mine is only a gasser. Very easy to work on and just wont quit. As far as the paint goes, I'm probably on my 3rd paint job right now.![]()
What chipper does a good job at chipping palm? Not trying to be a smarta$$ but I really want to know. I've used most of the brands, both options (disk and drum), and palm "chips" have always killed the ability to give away nice mulch.I have run disk chippers before and they don't seem to do very well with palms.
I cant think of a better 1st chipper. Certainly get with CreTree and give it a good "once over", and fix any issues, but I would personally love to have another one in my fleet. Mine is not for sale BTWLooking to buy my 1st chipper. We are small operation...usually keep hardwood larger than 6" Whada ya think?
Brush Bandit built a Model 95 specifically for palms and other fibrous material. Same as a Model 90, but the disk was set at 90° to the direction of feed instead of 45° like on the Model 90. Of course, living north of the Mason-Dixon line, I've never had a palm, much less one that needed chipping. What chipper does a good job at chipping palm?
If you're handy, we've got a 12" Woodchuck disk chipper with a blown engine, sitting in New Haven, CT. Rydemore Trucks in Fitchburg, MA usually has complete replacement diesel engines for only a few $K, but the boss just wants to unload it as is.Looking to buy my 1st chipper. Yum!RE: "usually keep hardwood larger than 6" - That thing will eat up 6" material all day long without flinching.
Unfortunatly, all I am is handy... but was sort of looking for a turn key machine...But what do you think he would have to get for it?If you're handy, we've got a 12" Woodchuck disk chipper with a blown engine, sitting in New Haven, CT. It's a solid machine (aside from the connecting rod sticking out the side of the engine block), so I think a $2,500 offer would definitely get the conversation started. If interested, PM me.But what do you think he would have to get for it?
Thanks
After all you said about credit and dough I'm surprised ..he musta hooked it up! Cmon man spill the beans what's the damage..I have a bad ass 01 bandit 200xp which I love but a winch does sound nice and mine does have some hours on it ..I'm putting a new top feel wheel motor on it tomorrow morning and that shit get the wheels turning.. Get it..I ended up buying a new Terex from lumberjack
I rented a nine inch terwx with the 90 degree disk one day when my chipper gave me shit ..this is what happened when a piece of 9 inch white oak hit the disk..the chipper had less than ten hours on it.I hope they handle palms much better hahaa..
