Why we need Stumps Grind??

Can Anyone suggest that why we need tree removal and stump grinding...Is it good for healthy and long living trees.

If we don't remove trees and grind the stumps then my daughter won't be able to go to med school and I can't afford my regular hookers and blow that keep my "tree" healthy.

Now that we've had our fun with this. I think our OP is asking more about the need for grinding stumps. The reasons we've been asked to grind stumps are: covering it with grass (this is something we've done for town trees especially), planting another tree in the same spot, eliminate a potential nesting site for carpenter ants where the tree grew near the house, to eliminate the source for suckering and regrowth (think willow) or, merely aesthetics.

Great thread--no way this kind of humor could be generated intentionally.
