What's it worth?

What\'s it worth?

Could a few people please give me a basic estimate of the value of this Chipper, assuming that it's in good condition and runs and works fine?

2006 8" Morbark Cyclone wood chipper, 34-HP, CAT diesel, auto feed. 360 degrees swivel on discharge tube, 1460 hrs.,

Low to mid teens would be a nice deal I think

34 hp is not a lot of Jam. Are you certain that is what you want? I think Jeff is about right but I would top out at 8k if it's really clean. I bought a 2004 Morbark 13 from Colorado last year at this time. I'd be happy to share any of my experience. Pm me if you like.

New they were high teens to low 20's. That 34 hp would be great for that little chipper. At work we got the same cycloe 8, but with the 25hp Koler (gas) and its a bit underpowered but a good solid machine. I would say low teens would be a pretty good deal for that (12 or so(if its in good shape)). good luck

Thanks for getting back to me on this question, the info's great. I didn't mean to mislead anyone, but I was actually watching the sale of a Chipper like the one I described and it sold for 6k, which I thought was a great deal, so I wanted to see what others thought about the value of a chipper like that. The reason I'm asking the question and watching chippers that are for sale, is because in a few months I'm hoping to buy one, between 6" and 9" inchs. Just trying to grow my little business, with a small chipper that I can pull around with a 1/2 ton truck. At this point, i think Morebark and Bandit would be the only two kinds I would look at, based on my reading and would prefer a Diesel engine. And based on your posts it looks like 6k was a good deal.

Saw this a while ago. Scroll down to a 6 inch diesel(64hp) for 13,900. Not bad considering the low hours.

Okay...I'll try to remember. Money's tight right now and I thought I'd have enough to be serious around March/April for my first chipper...but i may have to wait longer and change my business stratagy a little.

I'm out in alberta and there is a guy selling Bandit 90 with a 50hp Perkins,extra knives, manuals and the machine has 1347 hrs(what the ad says) and he is looking to get 7500.00 obo. Its on kijiji, ad# is 455258978.
