Talk about weird bugs...have you seen this one before. I just saw one for the first time back before all this snow. It's an Oil Beetle or Blister Beetle. It secretes oils out of its joints which can apparently give you nasty blisters.

Just read up on that oil beetle. The larvae feed on bee larvae. Wow, nasty bug in some many ways....

An Eyed Elater, a huge type of click beetle.

Yeah, it was really gross. I was poking at it with a stick and orangish oil started forming in the joints on its legs. I'm sure glad I didn't pick it up in my hands. It just looks like a large ant or something... but it not.
