What is this mechanical advantage rig for SRT?

The lower part appears to be a progress capture device. The upper part is advanced after each pull. Looks like a pulley attached to an ascender.

RADS - Rope Ascending Descending System...or... "Yo-Yo" for slang
It's not Rapid Ascending Descending System due to speed being a fatal master in climbing and since it's effectively a 3:1 ma it's actually 3 times slower than SRS and 1/3 again slower than MRS.

Trango Cinch used as the primary positioner, not my first choice but it works. Could be Akimbo, Rope Wrench system, Petzl Rig or I'd, ISC D4, Edelrid Eddy, Etc.

The upper portion has been created using a Petzl Basic ascender and ISC micro pulley. These could be replaced with anything that attaches midline and advances up the rope. I personally prefer the CT QucKRoll Ascender with integrated pulley but could be as simple as a short prusik with any small pulley.

Very useful for returning from difficult limbwalks when working SRS.

It actually is Rapid Ascent and Descent system, the term comes from before todays multicenders, and the rapid refers to the time necessary to change over from ascent to descent and vice versa. Using RADS, you can transition much faster than with a traditional ascent system using a chest ascender or similar devices.
 
S.C.A.M. is a remotely-retrievable MA system that only takes one biner, preferably a pulley-biner type, I think https://www.petzl.com/US/en/Professional/Pulleys/ROLLCLIP-Z.

Another factor of the weaker arm pull(s) is a tension pull,

But easier leg effort is compression, who's side force , and impact of thrusts urge to press CoG to greater leveraged load angle against efforts as motion continued. It takes more effort to hold against side pressures, and even more effort if you do!

Smooth, non impact compression leg input , less than or not too much greater than in concert tension 2 arm pulls I tried to orchestrate towards for greatest efficiency, partially by limiting side force loading as could, and staying more inline as load to the force line in the rope support device.

CoG falling away from line @12 noon to bod 11 o'clock 30 degrees deflection places half of bodyweight sideways statically , and then half of leg thrust on motion while 14% more effort upwards also. Angle makes effort less efficient to target while fighting side forces. Body is device in position that many materials and devices fail from not being able to handle side forces, when can handle harder work inline part of inefficiency okay. Tension arm pull effort can cradle into better efficient position of less leveraged load against efforts. Chest roller can be great help too!

Found can be tough enough as scientific wrestler, to not further over work by setting self up to bull dog every point as a 'lazy'/no thought required strategy. Work don't really start until into play, flying around ring stinging like a bee anyway!
