and THIS is why you never throw stuff out. I recently recycled my old Vertex Vent. Nothing wrong with it, except that it was ten years old. Ran it through the dishwasher probably 100 times.
I do have a NEW Vertex Vent (the orange one) that has been worn maybe a dozen times. I would gladly part with it - I don't like the lack of visor.
I'd send some pics if you are interested at $60+shipping (probably $10)...

The sena Bluetooth sets are easier to mount to the older petzl helmets; there is a better spot for the mic. I don't dig kask.
If there are any floating around, I'm still looking.

Are there any other alternatives besides an old petzl? I want the sena but dislike the kask, too hot in summer

The Pfanner Protos will work with the Sena's, I don't recommend the petzl alveo- it's a pain to wire up and not totally satisfied with the results

With some ingenuity, I'd say you could use whatever you want. The new petzl suspension design makes the mic placement a little difficult. I have an older style and it fit perfectly. TreeStuff is supposed to offer the protos/sena package within a week or two for around $500 That's the route I would take if I wanted to spend 4k to outfit the whole team.
