Thanks
@Steve Connally. Well, as far as brew, malty, really malty, with good quality hops. If it is brewed by monks, then that's good enough. I'm old school - no fruit peel, ridiculous spices, or other experimental junk. I know that's asking a lot nowadays. As for food, good oyster house first. And if there's some seafood chowder that is special, that's always a good second. Not sure if Norfolk is really know for any particular food style, but if it is, I'm game to experiment. Any place that has a special sauce of any type (dish not really critical) that is the talk of the town, that's always good. If the locals rave about it, then we probably want to try it.
I'll hit my son and the girls up and post again when they give me some input. My son is a cook for USCG, but he just moved there so he doesn't know many places yet. He's gonna smoke a brisket at home, so we probably won't want any BBQ.
Oh, and my youngest daughter will be at William and Mary at a golf tournament, so we'll be up there 3 days, so Williamsburg is definitely in range.
