Hi all,
I just wanted to share this with everyone.
Last night my wife & I went to a book signing & talk at our library.
The guest of honor was Lee Thomas, a local newscaster and celebrity here in south-eastern Michigan. His life story of dealing with the physical and mental battle he is waging with vitiligo, was to say the least "Powerful". We here in Detroit have watched Lee for years, not knowing of the stain this man has gone through. We always saw the funny, happy go lucky guy that you just love to watch.
I'm writing this to challenge you, to take a look at how you deal with people who seem different and people altogether.
Lee closed with this,
“This is one black man’s story that is all about skin color, yet has absolutely nothing to do with racism.”
"This story is about much more than vitiligo. It's about overcoming what ever challenges you face and living life no matter what. Life is the gift."
