Tried out the Sirius rigging line

Bout a 200' hank of the 14mm line and it runs really well. It's stiffer than the stable braid but has not glazed at all running over natural crotches/redirects. My ground guy likes it much more but I really like that there's a built in 'red light' blue strand that tells you of overloading. I think it's something I might stick with.

The "indicator" strand is a bit misleading. If you made 2 marks an inch apart on any rope, and loaded it heavily you would see an increase in distance between those two marks. Same with the Sirius from testing that I did. From the marketing I was expecting something a bit more magical.

Not nearly as supple as stable braid. At all. But it doesn't glaze over natural crotches. The second I run a couple hundo pounds over a natural crotch with stable braid a few times, I have a 3 foot section that has a melted side. Stable braid all the way for strictly false crotches but for every day stuff id use the Sirius.

I have the 14m. Works great. Also have one end spliced, if u r into the knot less rigging. I've found it is not really that bad tying knots using the spliced end, if u don't feel like switching ends when u start butt hitching, or whatever u wanna call it.
