Treestuff no longer carrying globe3000?

I'm going to be picking up a tree motion here in the next couple days, and I noticed that treestuff no longer carries globe3000 in the 'rope by the foot' section , or any where else except for an 18 dollar replacement bridge for the saddle. New disclaimer also which says something along the lines of ' only approved bridge must be used for replacement etc'.

Anybody know anywhere else to get globe3000 bulk?

Any other suitable bridge selections? For my liger I have a hank of 16 strand arbor master that I cycle in, but I suspect it's too fat for the tree motion.

Do I really have to pay 18 bucks for a few feet of rope every 6 months or so for a new bridge?

Thanks in Advance
Jon

Not sure where you can get it in bulk. I replace my bridge around every year on my tree motion. I use a hitch climber on my bridge and the pulley seems to help spread out the wear on the bridge. Not sure what the treemagineers reccomends for replacement, but if they say 6 months I think its just a legal thing to cover their ass. Not an actual safety concern. Also I would say any rated cordage you can get through the holes on the tree motion could be used as a bridge. If you run a swivel off the bridge I can see it causing wear a lot faster, so maybe it will be 6 months.

Do you really mind for that 18 bucks so much?
Sorry for not answering your question.
I would take almost any Polyamid or Polyester rope that fits by the way, it doesnt have to be Dyneema.

18 bucks is a small cost compared to bit changing out a bridge, true.
Just a minor annoyance really. What was globe bulk-1.50 a ft or something?
That was just an added plus.
Just wondering if anyone knew of another place to get it bulk.
I'm thinking HTP 10 would be a good substitute.

Are you dudes/gals who think that $18 is too much for supporting your life......Really...you buy chippers, chip trucks, minis, bucket trucks and whatever else to make your job easier...but can't pay $18 for a bridge replacement....HTP, hmmm ( would work but why )....GLOBE 3000 is such a superior cordage....use it and you will see....boggles my mind...I pay shipping and duty for everything I buy and bring down here to Barbados....do I complain no....just the price I pay for living in Paradise...for a hank of 200' of kernmaster I pay $4oo US...approx $200 for the rope, approx $130 duties and then $60 for shipping ( and I have 3 hanks, love rope what can I say )...I have no empathy for you guys up North who don't pay shipping and duty ( smiling )....lol.... PS * NO WAY AM I TALKING DIRECTLY TO YOU JON....this is for everyone who thinks $18 is too much for a bridge....you will read this and know who you are.....

Swing,
18 bucks is not too much for a new bridge. Not too much for life support. I'll happily pay it.
But, seeing as how a month or two ago, I could get 50 for 50 something dollars and have a lifetime supply of bridges, I'm just trying to see if that opportunity still exists.
I hear you on the shipping swing, there's no such as thing as free shipping to Hawaii, although there's also no duty like Barbados. I'm taking full advantage of being a mainland treestuff shopper now though.
Thanks monkey love for the link, I appreciate it. That's exactly what I was hoping to find.

I too think $18 is a lot when there are other more affordable, same quality cordage out there. No matter where you live, I think 6$ a foot or whatever it is, is a lot. I use ocean 10mm on mine and have had no problems. Tough jacket, poly insides....made by the same company as Globe isn't it?

See problem solved....monkeylove got things covered...I forgot that Globe 3000 was used on racing yachts....plus it also comes in red I think...now that gives me an idea...I am going hunting for another color...love me some rope...though I have 3 bridges laying around...I always buy in bulk as I save shipping.....and yeah BeesandTrees Teufelberger bought New England Ropes...so they make ocean...

I use samson velocity hot 11mm on my TM, it just fits through hole

I bought bulk, like 32ft or so....will make a lot of bridges, way cheaper than one piece of globe 3000

I just noticed it was back in stock too. Better throw 50 feet in my next order before it goes away again. Though it doesn't have the snazzy red stitching.
