Tree Cart Piece of Junk???

You might just save yourself the pain in the neck of returning it and plunk down the Sherrill dollars. I already owned a similar one from Northern, and put one 400lb (estimated) hickory stump on it - axle bent while rolling over the lawn. Returned it and had a hassle about it.

Luckily, the same salesman who sold it to me had pointed out that the tires were only rated to 400 lbs each, while the cart said it could carry around 1200 lbs. I'm pretty sure it's not the same model, but as jim454 said above, be careful with Northern's stuff - it is cheap for a reason.

I've even stopped considering their $150 knockoff of the $400 oregon grinder after conversations at TCIA about quality concerns. Pay the dollars at Sherrill, or check out AMLeonard's selection, I have a landscaping buddy who says their cart is great and cheaper.

We have a log cart from Sherrill. Damn it's nice, heavy but that's not bad in this case. I don't think you could go wrong with it. We have had so much wood on it you need 2 guys to move it and haven't had a problem with it short of the one tire having a slow leak.

I got a cart from northern tool and the tire went flat. I replaced it then the bearing on the other wheel broke. I called to get a new wheel and they told me I have to buy a whole new cart. Not to mention one of the hand grips was missing on delivery. Junk!!!
