Hey everybody, I had Tom on the podcast! This was a really good conversation, very glad for the opportunity. I still consider TreeBuzz the original online resource for tree people, and just a great community. Hope you check out the podcast. This was a great interview Patrick! I have a lot of respect for what you're doing. You are currently producing the content that future arborists and climbers are going to be inspired by.

It was also great to hear some history of treebuzz.com, a site that has taught me so much over the years and connected me with other climbers that have taught me even more. Thank you for your foresight, vision and contributions Mark and Tom!
It had been a wonderful concept to fruition journey for me since I first thought of it and I'm still enjoying the ride! Thanks for being a huge part of it Tom! And a great big thanks to all who share their experiences so generously!!!

It was really cool to hear Tom talk about the old days. I'm far too young, at only 23 years, to remember them, but it was all very interesting. Even though he is my arch nemesis, and needlessly deletes my very best pictures of what you can do with knots and mechanical devices, you don't really hear him foaming at the mouth and putting out kitchen fires with bunnies. He comes off as the nice guy that I know he might actually be.

Even though I am only here on a research project concerning the ill effects tree work has on the human brain, the BuzzBoard will always be the king of arborist forums. Mark's behind the scenes approach is actually the best approach for the medium, and Tom's laid back filtering of the user interactions is excellent.

Now, with Tom approaching 135 years of age, or whatever, you guys need to think about putting it all into a trust and ensuring it is still around in another 100 years. The value of the site content is of historical significance.
