Thinking about going to husky

I need another sthil 660 but thinking of switching to husky version what model do I need and should I just stay loyal to sthil? Ps we only have one husky dealer in the area and worried about parts etc thanks for input

What size bar are you using? If using a 32 or less the 390 if longer the 395. I have a 390, 660, and had a 394. The huskys are a much better saw to run all day than the 660.

Husky is much less of a beast to run for long periods of time. My 395 xp's are my best friend! Awesome with a 36' and will pull a 42' on conifers no problem! Great saw, highly recommended.

The 390 or 395xp or for a couple bucks more 1390. But 660 is a great saw / look around guys going out business all the time or at consignment shops ECT.

The hassle of parts and repairs ups the ante for me. I like both Husky and Stihl, with some rants and raves about both as well. I just don't have a good local Husky shop which makes it cost-ineffective for me, so I go with Stihl mainly for the convenience and cost effectiveness.

(PS - The Huskys in my avatar are in Cozumel, Mexico, where we were lucky to get our hands on anything halfway decent hahahaha!)

Ir you can get your hands on a 385xp pulls a 32" no problem stock, little porting to it pulls 42". 395xp pulls 32"-42" stock little mods to the saws and you have a long bar saws. ourse you can go the 372xp route and port it up to run 32". Big question is this a up the tree saw or on the ground saw ? Just asking do to weight going up in the tree.

Thank you all for the feedback I think I am going to take a try at a 395 as between saws burning /wearing out I believe it is worth a try at a new brand. This will be are first husky saw in the spring we have pre ordered two of the new husky climbing saws they seem great. i
got a chance to try it out at our dealership they seem much better than current sthil equivalent.
