Sometimes, there are things we don't know we want until we see them. There is now considerable effort devoted to the development of powerful advertising algorithms designed to know what we want before we know ourselves. I would love however, to see an algorithm predict that what I want in life currently is nothing more than to ride around in this contraption all the live long day with my pole saw, leaving terrible dog eared stubs all along the transcontinental railway, doing my part to decongest our current supply chain conundrum.
My evening bike ride has been taking past this marvelous machine and I can't help but think how much better Buster Keaton's The General would have been had he been able to do a full summersault with the self leveling bucket onto that water tower spout.

The Japanese railway rigging videos floating around here several years ago were great, but I don't think that work would bring me the joy that I would feel riding in this tiny bucket, with no fall arrest harness of course, pulled in the most carbon neutral manner by retired Sierra Club members on a handcar. Were this my reality, I imagine that this look would be permanently affixed below my bar oil stained conductor's cap:

Is this a misguided desire? Have any of you used one of these fantastic minibuckets?
