thank you stein

I have to say I have been really impressed with everything I've gotten from these guys so far. to start out with the rc 2000 is awesome although I never get to run it as I am in the tree all the guys I've had run it have loved it and being a sub a lot of guys have been on this thing. it is quicker and easier to put the rope in and out of it and you can have less friction then you can in other portarap type devices because there is no pinch point. it's also great to be able to pull any slack out even with wraps as long as you're using the top tie. all around a great device everyone loves it.
the throw line folding cube they have is very good quality for the price much better quality in my opinion then the one Sherrill has which is more than double the price. granted it's no faltimer (? Spelling) but for a fourth of the cost it's definitely a good piece of equipment. it has all the little extras like a tie off ring and a velcro strip as well as two pouches. I will say that it is a little small but a great piece of gear.

their throw bags are good quality and their 2mm dyneema skyline throw line is the best I've found so far. it's the only line I can consecutively shoot out of a cube with a big shot and not send a wad up in the air. unfortunately they only sell it in 165' I wish they sold a 200' spool.

I also had one of the companies I sub for purchase the arbor trolley. this thing is ingenious. just the fact that as a regular log dolly it pivot's on the frame instead of on the wheels duh why didn't we make all of them like that! I like to think of it as having two guys you don't have to pay in the back of the truck waiting for use. just watch the video (lookup stein arbor trolly on youtube sorry I don't have the link handy) and you'll see what I mean this thing is great. nothing like taking a whole tree out of a backyard up a hill in 3 or 4 trips. plus you don't need to rake the whole yard because they'll be no mess from drag'n.

And the fact that they make the great videos explaining the products and their use is huge to me .
So THANK YOU STEIN for making our jobs safer, easier, and more fun ;)

Love Stein. I have the Arbor Trolley and the RC2000 as well as the headsets and they're all great products.

Oh and thank you Reg Coates for working with Stein in the R&D on a lot of their products.

I agree but their crane bag ripped on me, like a plastic bag, and only the 4th use. Got caught on a little stick. $100 bucks down the drain.

David, if you truly think it was the quality or design of the crane bag that cause the failure. I would email or call stein they will probably make good on it. If not I'm sure they'd be very happy to hear your feedback so they can improve their design in the future.
I also bet that the other people on here would like to hear more about what happened so that they can avoid having the same thing happen to them.

Stein is taking care of me, the bag caught on a small branch (1.5") after my guys untied the slings and I was sending the hook back up. It was a shingle oak, but no situation were that wouldn't be common in trees.

Could of been a lucky grab by that twig, but Stein has some improvement on the bag, I will let you know how it turns out.

I like Stein products a lot though, they make quality stuff, want to be clear about that.
