Hooking up at the TCI show

Feel free to post your need at the Tree Forums booth. We've set this up so all forum members, from all forums have a central place to go to meet each other in person.

Each of the three forums will have their own sign-in board so members from their favorite forums can know who else is there at the show. You can put up messages on the message board, share phone numbers, after hours plans, discuss recreational climbs, pretty much anything you want.

This booth is open to each and every one of you and it is there so we can hook up with each other IN PERSON. Booth #607. Click on the attachment above to view the map of the tradeshow floor and to see exactly where the booth is.

TCI show booth

Everyone does, Mark. Open forums, open booth. The booth is being created from the input of forum members. There are no sponsors. This is a booth arranged by forum members, on behalf of forum members for the sake and benefit of forum members.

No 'one' owns the booth, however The Tree Machine is being held responsible and accountable by TCIA for the behavior of the forum members who visit there. I signed the paperwork and it's my responsibility to keep the booth clean.

If that somehow makes me 'owner', I hereby decree co-ownership to each and every forum member of every treeguy forum site in existence.

Does that answer your question, Mark?

Re: TCI show booth

The show has begun. Yesterday was day one and the tradeshow is really extraordinary this year Cranes and bucket trucks and spider lifts tower over top of ropes and biners and bigShots (OH MY!) Chisholm is amazing the guys with his demos. I finally me Tom in person last evening, completely by accident, in an elevator.

All is good. There's today and tomorrow still to go, so if you get a spontaneous twitch, get in the car, and come on down!

Re: TCI show booth

Had a great time at TCI this year. Helping Greg Good sell his GRCS by demoing his device to people is interesting. I get to meet alot of people from all different parts of the country doing exactly what I do for a living.
Having a vendor's perspective on these shows is different from just being an attendee. Kind of a 'inside' look at how the show is organized and the costs of being a vendor. It is VERY expensive to have a booth.
Attendance was about a 1000 people LESS than the previous show at Baltimore. It is funny because TCI always says each show is an outstanding success. This one was good but not outstanding in terms of attendance. Here is a picture of Tom & Mark. Tom is holding a bottle of the limited edition GRCS label wine I made to commemorate Greg's device.
It is good to be home and I am looking forward to getting back to work.
Frans

Re: TCI show booth

I think the shows would attract more people if there was an organized scheme in place to get there and back, say on a bus trip directly to and from a motel paid in advance.

That's the biggest pain for me anyway.
