Their is an art to buying plane tickets.
For example this year my flight to TCIA was 279 bucks round trip.
I bought the tickets about 1.5-2 months in advance.
Right before I left, I checked the ticket prices and they had gone up 300 bucks!
Also I checked the ticket prices about 6 months before departure and the tickets were also in the 550-600 dollar range.
I think the trick is to buy your plane tickets not to early but not at the last minute either. If you request non-stop it will also bring the ticket price up considerably.

I have to agree with you on the tickets, who knows the mind of the airlines?
I was at the TCIA expo last time it was in Milwaukee-had a blast there! I hope to be there this year if everything works out. I'll do my best to drag Hamel and some others with.

Enjoyed my first look at the ITCC in Milwaukee a few summers back. I cant' wait to get back. Milwaukee was a great city to hang out with a lot of great tree people.! See you all there.
