Stump Cutters

You should be able to get the rest of the week out of it . . . after that, you're in God's hands.
I bought my 252 sc brand new in 2003.
14 years later still running it today with almost 2000 hours on it.
No major repairs besides regular maintenance and a couple sets of cutter wheel pillow block bearings and a couple of drive belts.

Keep it regularly greased, change the oil and filter every 100 hours. Keep clean air filters in it and change out the plugs every 500 hours.

Yes ... on the welcome that is. I know little on the Vermeer stumpers. I generally don't like the brand. No matter what they sell.
Take care of it as best you can like Holmen Tree described. Again welcome here. Keep posting.

Over the years the company with the best service I have found was Vermeer.
Very high quality products, look at their directional drill equipment for example.

They're also tightly tied in with the arborist industry with Sherrill and several large training companies.

Yes, Vermeer's customer service is top of the line. You have an issue and they will take in your machine and provide you with a loner. On another note, I hate Sherrill Tree.

Yes lots of change of ownership in the last few years along with twinning other great companies like Tree Stuff.

But you gotta give credit where it's due, Tobe revolutionized the industry with most notably the Big Shot.
Also putting out a great catalog for all those years that no one could match and promoting training companies like ArborMaster.
I wouldn't be where I am today without them.....
