December 6th is the TREE Fund volunteer project with the Seattle Department of Transportation.
Lots of needy trees will receive pruning services that day, thanks to local arborists who have stepped up to do their part. Rather than be paid for their services, the volunteers donate their time, and the Tree Research & Education Endowment Fund receives money to give grants & scholarships for college tree research.
The Arbor Talk on November 30th broadcast included a description of the Seattle work day benefit project for the TREE Fund.
Arbor Talk is is internet webcast of live phone interviews with Ken Six on worldtalkradio.com. Arborists from around the world call in to discuss current issues in the tree world.
The discussion centered around a similar pruning event, which successfully partnered many Certified Arborists with hundreds of tree that were cared for thru structural and clearance pruning.
