Seasonal Work

The City of Woodbury MN is hiring seasonal workers (Park Maintenance). Job goes from April - September and pays $11.00 an hour. Looking for a groundie and/or someone that can do some pruning and removals. Applications can be found at the link below.

I was thinking the same thing, Jon. I guess in this economy, though, it should be appreciated for what it is. Not many opportunities out there.

The dollar amount isn't my choice, trust me, it's damn near impossible to find good help at this rate!!!!

Then make that point to the powers that be. Point out the market rate for skilled people and the cost of damage that could be done by the unskilled workers they'll end up with.

That is a great point. Unfortunately we are under a pay freeze and they will not bring in anyone at a higher rate. It was a fight to keep it at that rate, they wanted to drop it down to 8.75!!! Unless they pull their heads out of their a$$ this is all the city will offer! So on that note, Anyone want to work here?
