In terms of skills, you must be able to perform all phases of tree care operations and take pride in the work that you do. Qualifications include:
• Passionate about your work, a team player and great ability to communicate with team members.
• Able to climb proficiently and perform tree operations using rope and saddle and a thorough knowledge of proper pruning, cabling and bracing techniques
• Working knowledge of all knots, ropes and rigging devices as well as safe operation of all equipment commonly used in tree care.
• Acquire or have and maintain EHAP, first aid and CPR certifications.
• Valid Driver's License required (CDL a plus)
• Drug free
Crew Leaders must have the following additional abilities:
• Maintain our culture of safety by ensuring safe working for your crew according to company and industry standards.
• Organize each job for maximum crew productivity.
• Be solution oriented and take positive action to solve any problems that arise on site.
• Communicate with customers on job progress and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
• Do the right thing no matter what – and inspire your team to follow that lead.

PHC/Spray Technician
Giroud People are a special breed. We are looking for PA licensed PHC Technicians with at least 2 years experience, who are passionate about tree and lawn care, have a positive attitude and share our Core Values of: Honesty, Integrity, Caring, and, Doing the right thing...no matter what. In terms of skills, you must be able identify plants, insects and diseases, perform the necessary treatments and take pride in the work that you do.
Experienced technicians must have a PA Pesticide Applicators license preferably with Category 6. Licenses in other Categories are welcome as long as you are willing to take and pass the Category 6 (tree industry) test.
• Passionate about your work, a team player and great ability to communicate with customers.
• Driver's License required. CDL a plus.
• Must have and maintain PA Pesticide Applicator Certification
• Must be able to identify and recognize local trees and shrubs. Knowledge of Pathology, Entomology and Physiology are necessary for proper treatment.
• Must understand safe handling, mixing and application of chemicals
• Communicate with customers on job progress and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
