Saturday's Pine Removal

Good job, safely done.

My impression is doing the whole tree with an uncontrolled speed line, branches and small wood into a brush crash pad, down to felling height, may have been a faster option with lower rigging risk and forces, and less cutting.

Cutting into the collars will often hang pine limbs until fully severed. If you hang the limbs on wood fibers, until the limb is hanging vertically, then finish the cut, it will load onto the SL gradually, plus no stubs to cut and pick up.

Hey, nice work. Don't forget about my truck if you need me.
Thanks so much Steve. I did quote one a couple days ago that would be a nice fit for your setup. I'll be in touch if they go with me. I'm dying to see that thing in action!
