500 Salary a week, 5-10% commissions, laptop, truck, gas card, and a phone. Yearly sales goals/bonuses are nice too!
Is this strictly sales or will you be pushing crews too?

No strictly sales for now but with the company I am at now I do sales, run crews,run PHC, cover the office when the secretary takes off and all I get is a base pay I brought up commission before but I work for a family run buissness and they get all the benifits and I get all the crap and we had some words yesterday cause I am tired of being treated like crap and I quit and another company found out and offered me a job sort of right now as the estimates come in so I am considering it.

Don't go for straight commission. It will kill you in the down times.
Try a hybrid base salary mixed with commission (you might be able to set goals for volume of sales, rate of return, etc.).
Does the company that offered you the job have other sales people? If so, how are they set up for compensation?

Hey treeco I am really surprised that you would automatically take his side its been how long since you were partners? I ask a question not to get beat up on but : cause I wanted to know. You have no idea how things are now and we dont need to use names I am not trying to put him down I am just tired of the bull crap that goes on there and to hear it from him all he has is negative things to say about you but do you see me on here trying to make you look like a a$$. I thought this was created to have another family other than the ones you work with not to make jokes and put people down so you can just back off and keep your negative opinions to yourself!!!!

We were business partners in Sussex Tree from 1987 to 2002 and have been friends for going on 35 years. You obviously don't understand the dynamics of working in a family owned business or the ramifications of grousing about your job on a publicly viewed web site with your employer's web address in your signature.
