ROPED Magazine

First issue of ROPED Magazine. I will be building upon this magazine as time goes on in each issue to bring interesting stories and adventures from other climbers in the work field. It will be heavy most likely on Arb world but will also have stories from Industrial and Rescue also, as I feel we are stronger of climbers when information and experiences are shared across industries. This will not be a magazine designed to spew bad practice or habits but one to showcase great climbers that otherwise never get the light they have earned in industries that are largely separated from one another due to natural distance and lack of day to day interactions ( I hope to God non of you are calling for Rescue each day and I highly doubt any of you have cut a tree down on an oil rig or water tower LOL.) So here it goes I will do my best to showcase our best in climbing and rigging. I hope you all enjoy and have quality feed back to allow me to bring you all quality reading and viewing.

ROPED Magazine issue 1

Looks great. Any chance of getting the pdf so we can print it out if we prefer. I will get to actually read it all later but I did page through it and bookmarked it. Thanks for all the hard work.

When I downloaded it; there was a "pdf" option in the very bottom tool bar.
(move the cursor down to active it.)

Very cool! Boel is a cover girl!!
What a really nice person person Boel is ! (besides being a covergirl !)
I've worked several TCC events where Boel was competing.
After the prelims are completed, she makes an effort to return to each event, and individually thanks EVERY volunteer (judge, ground tech, etc.)
Everyone also gets a hug ! ! !

Back to ROPED !

Well said and worth saying!

To go along with the PDF printing question, in the future I will look to make a printed version of the magazine ( traditional magazine) available. Part of doing so though is to see what the numbers are of readers for a bit and drum up the attention to the magazine. This way I can keep prices on the magazine down for the end buyer/reader. The one thing I really like about the Mag idea is the ability to place links on features in the mag as well as add video easily accessible by one click to its home page ( Youtube, vimeo, a website... you get the idea.)

Also as a side note, I will be at the Penn-Del climbing comp next month. So if you happen to be there and see me feel free to stop over and say hi, always glad to meet climbers for the first time and talk. Other then that the next issue will also feature Bridge Day 2017 as well as Rescue training of a rescue team from a Paper Mill out of West Virginia that I happen to help train and also at one time was on the team as well for technical rescue comps. I have also been approached by some really top quality climbers in the art world that would like to contribute, so I will be hoping to get them in it as well so this is not a magazine based solely on my views and my thoughts of things around me. Honestly my personal goal is to in the future photograph and leave the writing to those that have a drive for it and a hell of a talent for telling stories.

Very happy that you all have liked this so far and I look forward to bringing you a magazine that is quality and brings to the plate topics that are separate of just reviews and tech talk, but rather show the life styles, and passion of the working climber.
