rope runner maintenance and cleaning

What are you guys doing for maintenance? I've started to use dry graphite on the pulley every week or so. How do you guys deal with heavy pitch on the runner?

For pitch I soaked it in a bowl of warm water with the biners, the. Scrubbed it with a brush

Peanut butter works wonders for sap on the skin...I wonder if would work well with on tools, rub it in, let it sit, then warm water. I'll have to experiment.

I have taken the pulley off and apart and given it a nice cLeaning. It can get pretty nasty and burnt. Hopefuy replacement uley sheaves and axles wI'll be available soon at treestuff for a low cost.

Warm soapy water is all I do after and a tiny tooth brush .
