Road Trip

Mid-February I will be taking off on a 6 week road trip towing a 20 ft. travel trailer / camper with my girlfriend and dog. Never done a trip like this before.

I will be bringing some climbing and rigging gear along with a few saws, so I'd love to meet up and work with some fellow buzzers along the way. Pruning, Removals, Crane Work - whatever works.

I'm not really planning the trip too extensively, just getting out there and wingin' it, but the attached map is probably around where I will be.

If anyone is interested getting together, please PM me with any questions and (city, state, phone number). I guess when I'm relatively near by I can make contact and see if anything is available. If not, all good. Just looking to keep a little busy and enjoy a little time away from the NY winter.

Georgia TCC is March 20-22 in Winterville GA. Door is open if you would like to volunteer. That will be toward the end of your trip.

Yup a working road trip was always on my radar but mostly looking forward to resting my mind and bones in the national/state forests. I dont think i have ever taken an extended vacation so should be good for me

Thanks for the positive wishes

If your map shape was a bird, I'm the beak. We typically have a lot of snow, and daytime temps ranging from 10-30ish in February. I work some of the year round, meaning if it's not too horrible, or if it pays good enough, I'm there. I am pretty slow currently but I will shoot you my number, I'm right up at the top of your loop. Always have something interesting going on and can certainly park your rig at my place if you plan to ski at Elk Mountain or whatever. You must know someone for that loop to be going by here...
Now I see, you are starting in Ny! I was lost as to why someone would come here in winter

I’m a little bit out of your circle but if you find yourself near southern New Jersey I live on the edge of the Belleplain State Forest. We’re climbing and rigging something everyday as long as its above 20. Good Luck! Sounds like a great plan, i go climb with other outfits whenever the chance presents itself, its always a great day!

I would highly recommend that you DO NOT invite Mr. Gu..
Especially if you have priors, or any outstanding warrants....
I have a straight jacket if that sexy psychopath wants to tag along. Ill bring extra doggy snacks and a muzzle.
If you're in VA let me know, I might be able to find you some work
Thanks steve. Definitely be over near Shenandoah valley area to start

When traveling in Appalachia and the south, I like to get off the beaten path and explore the beautiful countryside and fine eating establishments. However, I've found that it's best not to travel by canoe, and if you hear banjo music... turn around and go back.

You got a right purdy mouth Mr. Gu...
