Risk Assessment for Urban Trees: Initial Inspection Through Removal

Location : Gwinnett Technical College (northeast of Atlanta)
Cost : $50.00, includes lunch
ISA Certified Arborists wil receive 5.5 CEU's.
Georgia Certified Pesticide applicators will receive 2 CEU's.
Morning : this session will feature the following talks
-Tree Biology, Kim Coder, University of Georgia School of Forestry
-Visual Tree Assessment, Mark Adams, Downey Trees, Inc.
-A Case Study, showing use of the Resistograph, Pat Mawhinney, Prestige Tree and Shrub
Afternoon : this session will be a hands-on inspection and assessment of one, possibly two, questionable trees. The tree(s) will then be felled and dissected to compare the assessment to the actual condition of the tree(s).
