Position Summary:
The Plant Health Care Manager is responsible for managing the PHC department; This includes oversight of all aspects of chemical and fertilizer application, Scheduling of treatments to insure maximum effectiveness, Maintaining accurate records to insure legal compliance for use reporting, Training and supervision of all technicians to insure safe and effective pesticide application, and occasional pesticide and fertilizer applications
Qualifications:
ISA Certified Arborist
Ability to obtain a California driver’s license
Possess valid driver’s license
Ability to obtain California Qualified Applicator’s License
Roles and Responsibilities:
Manages PHC Department
Coordinates Purchasing/Inventory
Insect and Disease Diagnosis
Supports Account Managers in selling and pricing PHC services
Knowledge of PHC products and methods of application
Responsible for insuring compliance with all applicable laws regarding application, transportation, storage, and use reporting for all pesticides
Trains all PHC technicians to insure safe and effective pesticide application
Skills & Abilities:
Familiar with Tree Industry
Attention to detail is critical to maintain high quality of care.
Solid communication skills
Strong analytical/problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Comprehensive knowledge in arboricultural understanding
Technical aptitude
