Metropolitan Forestry Services, Inc. (MFS) is a well established tree care and landscape development company proudly serving the St. Louis area. We are currently hiring Plant Health Care Technicians. All of these positions require: a working knowledge of trees and shrubs, excellent tree and shrub identification skills, formal classroom experience and/or field experience in the arboriculture and green industry, a valid driver’s license (Class B preferred), good communication skills, safety conscious & an ability to pass a drug test and physical exam. Plant Health Care Technician
Plant Health Care (PHC) Technicians provide a key link between our clients and their properties with our sales and office staff. While technical PHC knowledge is important for this position so are solid communication skills. This position requires:
• Missouri applicator license (or capability to acquire one) and ability to adhere to industry, safety, and environmental standards for using fertilizers and pesticides.
• Ability to evaluate, monitor, and treat insect and disease problems.
• Ability to operate, calibrate, and maintain PHC equipment (i.e. pumps, mixing equipment, etc.).
• Commitment to timely and quality customer service. PHC technicians work closely with arborists and clients, providing critical feedback and recommending the appropriate treatments to plant health care problems.
• Must be able to work independently as well as assist other MFS operations when needed.
