Our 'new' crane

We bought this 35 ton grove crane yesterday! It's got 104' main boom and a 32' jib. I'm really looking forward to learning how to run it.

very solid machine. early timid seventies with a detroit? too bad it doesn't have a front jack. you will be needing at least an a2b system if you plan on hoisting climbers

A2b looks to be blue on the back of the block pulley.
Beast of a crane there. Be interested to see it put to work. Seems like a lot of truck for moderate crane.
Congratulations though!

Its got a 14L cummins with a 13 speed. Yeah I'd like the front outrigger. They were optional on these cranes apparently. I may see if I can find a parts crane that had one. It already has an a2b.

If you look at the chart on this crane, its a decent bit higher load at a given distance vs the terex t340 40 ton crane that we have rented. It seems to be really well built. Its also only a couple of feet longer the the t340.
